Counselling section

What is counselling? Whether the situation is desperate and you just don’t know who to turn to, or perhaps there has been a problem brewing for a long while and you’ve just made a decision to talk to someone professional.

Whatever your relationship, problem, stage of life you’re in, single, married, widowed or divorced, our counsellors are here to help.

Counselling can help you to understand your feelings and find a way forward.
The first step is to come along for an assessment appointment to make sure we are the right organisation for you and can help. If we aren’t, we can refer you onto somewhere else.

Is it confidential?
All of our counsellors are experienced, qualified and bound by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) professional code of ethics and practice. So you can be assured that your confidentiality is guaranteed. How much does it cost? No one is ever turned away for financial reasons. We run a sliding scale of fees from £40 down to zero for special cases. You can discuss this at your assessment session.

Does counselling work? The JMC has over 30 years experience in counselling.
Each year many individuals, couples and families come to us for help.

That’s why we know that counselling works.
So if you’re in a crisis or think you are approaching one, or if you feel you have certain issues that need to be explored, please do ring us in confidence.

Appointments are available during the day and evening in London (north west London and Ilford) and Manchester.
