A message from our President Lady Jakobovits Dear friends,
Amongst the many projects in which I am involved in our Anglo-Jewish Community, the Jewish Marriage Council is particularly close to my heart, if only because it was the brainchild of the late Lord Jakobovits even before our own marriage.
Our services do not receive any grants and its funding depends entirely on the support of our loyal friends.
Although it is impossible to guarantee only success, a significant number of homes have been kept together and children protected as a result of our counselling. We at the JMC feel that prevention is better than cure, and therefore our Engaged Couples Course is widely acclaimed as a useful preparation for a good marriage, while the Connect Introduction Agency helps to find Mr/Mrs Right.
There are now plans to extend our existing services and in addition we aim to revive our mediation service in an attempt to avoid acrimony, as well as the expense of drawn-out litigation.
